Michael Thordarson is a producer/director. He made his directorial debut with the ambitious musical film, Sophie and the Serial Killers (2022) and has gone on to create challenging new innovative work in Scorned Waifu (2024) and The Guard Room (2025).

Michael Thordarson has always been enchanted by the power of film. Raised in Colorado, he was surrounded by mountains and vast hills, which he loved to explore while dreaming about the stories that could be told. The way film can present dramatic and engaging stories right before our eyes continues to amaze him.

He discovered that producing was the perfect blend of his interests, and as a film producer he constantly asks himself, "What is the best way to tell this story?" He believes that while stories can be told in many ways, his passion lies in finding the perfect approach.

Original ideas are not dead, despite what Hollywood and the big budged films would have you believe these days. Michael’s goal with Magical Hammer Productions is to create films that have never been made before, that challenge us and push us to that next level. As a big fan of Heavy Metal, Movies, Anime, and Video Games, he’s always been a big fan of strange and crazy out there story telling.
